Job Description
Our client is looking to add an Associate to a rapidly growing team. The investment professional will be an integral part of the team and work on all parts of private equity transactions, including sourcing, deal execution, and portfolio value creation. They will actively participate in an entrepreneurial and collaborative culture with significant potential for career growth and advancement.
Execution
- Engage in the transaction process from start to finish as part of a deal team;
- Perform industry, company and financial due diligence and engage with third-party diligence providers;
- Build detailed financial models and analyses to support investment opportunities;
- Produce investment memorandum and other presentations on acquisition opportunities;
- Support financing and transaction negotiations;
Sourcing
- Actively participate in thematic sourcing process, with significant opportunity to develop and drive targeted sectors through research and outreach to operating executives, target companies and industry contacts;
- Reviewing various investment opportunities and identifying specific merits and risks related to each opportunity;
Portfolio Performance
- Engage with portfolio company management to monitor performance;
- Support value creation initiatives and add-on acquisition process;
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience at a nationally-recognized investment bank, lender, or private equity firm;
- Will also consider transaction advisory backgrounds
- Must have outgoing personality and social skills to connect with new prospects;
- Motivated self-starter and team player with a high level of maturity and ability to perform in an entrepreneurial atmosphere;
- Deeply analytical and thoughtful in analyzing a company’s financials and growth prospects;
- Organized with excellent project management skills;
- Extensive financial modeling skills and research abilities;
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills;
- Initiative, motivation, attention to detail, and energy to deliver strong results; and
- Undergraduate degree from a top-tier institution and with a superior academic performance record.
