Job Opportunity: Senior Analyst

Location: Cleveland, OH

Our client is seeking a Senior Analyst to join its investment team. Based in Cleveland, Ohio, the Senior Analyst will work closely with our client’s investment professionals and portfolio company management teams.

Our client is a sector-focused private equity firm that invests in lower, middle-market performance materials businesses. Extensive experience and expertise in niche manufacturing sectors. Twenty-five years of industry-specific investing has allowed the firm to develop a deep understanding of the complex technologies, processes, and operations that these sectors share.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the investment underwriting and due diligence process (e.g., modeling, memos, data room management, industry research)
  • Run extensive analytical analysis on financial, customer, product, market information, etc. to clearly articulate trends within businesses
  • Support investor relations with preparation of quarterly and annual materials, including individual asset updates, fund level performance analysis, and annual presentations
  • Compile market research on new investments and provide a deliverable accurately summarizing the state of the industry
  • Provide portfolio management support for existing investments including budgeting expected performance, evaluating actual performance, and implementing portfolio management processes including continuous improvement

Qualifications:

  • Proactive with an exceptional work ethic and a background reflecting a high level of achievement
  • 1+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, lending, consulting, or other relevant M&A experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or greater
  • Knowledge of basic accounting concepts and financial modeling techniques
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong (in-person and virtual) relationships
  • Ability to work in dynamic and entrepreneurial environment, which includes ambiguity and changing priorities
  • Excited about working and living in Cleveland, Ohio with some connection to Cleveland
