Our client is seeking a Vice President to join their team in the Pacific Northwest. They are a Bellevue-based direct private lender that provides short-term bridge loans secured by investment real estate. Their acquisition, construction and cash-out loans to homebuilders, developers and investors of real estate are often funded upon short notice of less than 48 hours. They currently lend in Greater Seattle but plan to expand to other Pacific Northwest metro areas. 

They are small but rapidly growing and are looking for a few team members with the drive, motivation, and aptitude to handle simultaneous responsibilities to help them grow and to grow with them. They have been lending internal, proprietary capital for the past 5 years but will start marketing their strong track record to third party limited partners starting this year.

The position will be based full time in Seattle. The successful candidate will work directly with and learn from Portfolio Manager and Managing Member with over 20 years of financial services experience that includes investment banking, venture capital, funds of hedge funds, long / short equity hedge funds, growth equity investing and real estate. The successful candidate will quickly learn all aspects of running and managing a secured lending fund. Long-term opportunities for the successful candidate include equity ownership and profit sharing.

  • At least 3 years working at a private equity, venture capital or hedge fund in a fundraising or investor relations capacity or related experience with an advisory firm servicing such funds
  • Highly proficient with Excel, PowerPoint and Word


Preliminary Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Provide exceptional and timely client service to prospective investors
  • Implement and execute a fundraising strategy for the launch of our fund, specifically targeting high net worth individuals, registered investment advisors, wealth managers, family offices and small institutions
  • Build new and maintain existing relationships with investors
  • Develop and maintain working database of prospects to track progress
  • Prepare marketing and investor-facing documents, including private placement memorandum, fund offering documents, pitchbooks, teasers and due diligence questionnaires
  • Extract and distill historical gross loan performance data from spreadsheets to develop pro forma net fund return graphs and charts
  • Coordinate new and existing fundraising inquiries, which includes due diligence and subscription requests
  • Prepare periodic reports to fund investors that include monthly, quarterly and annual investor letters
  • Meet / exceed fundraising goals together with team

  • Above market salary and substantial annual discretionary incentive bonus
