The Senior Analyst will provide support to the teams responsible for private equity and alternative asset investment origination as well as for the management and monetization of one or more assets and/or operating companies. The Senior Analyst supports the Vice Presidents and Directors with analytics and due diligence in evaluating new investment opportunities and assists with the development and execution of key business plans and initiatives. Essential Functions:
- Research and analyze target industries and proactively identify new investment opportunities
- Perform all aspects of due diligence and underwriting
- Structure / build detailed financial models to support both investment decisions and asset management activities. These modeling activities include creating financial statements, complex ROI and IRR calculations
- Assist in pricing, negotiation and documentation of M&A and financing related transactions
- Manage various constituencies (lawyers, bankers, consultants) during due diligence and transaction execution
- Author presentation materials and supporting documentation
- Provide support to asset management initiatives of existing investments including but not limited to financial analysis, developing and executing business plans and other ad hoc strategic projects
- Collaborate directly with management teams to drive initiatives and deliver against business objectives
- Manage investment capital requirements and debt covenant compliance
- Analyze impact of various operational scenarios on portfolio company capital structures
- Understand key industry trends and investment implications
- Assist in investor reporting
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong financial modeling and quantitative skills (strong excel a must)
- Knowledge of financial statements, valuations and cash flows
- Excellent project management and problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing with all levels of management
- Ability to work with detailed financial or other data and to understand and vocalize concerns and macro implications
- Ability to work autonomously and as a member of a team; team player with a positive attitude

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field
Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity or other finance-related field
- Transaction/acquisition experience preferred
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong Excel skills required
