Our client is a seeking an Associate to join their Investment Management department. Our client invests in established and emerging venture capital fund managers, in expansion stage venture-backed companies and in secondary investments in venture capital funds and companies. They believe in winning together.

Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Financial analysis and modeling
- Company and industry research, reference calls, due diligence
- Preparing client presentations, whitepapers, investor reporting and interacting with senior management team and clients
- Managing / training Junior Analysts
- Due diligence on fund, secondary and direct investments
- Monitor all fund, secondary and direct investments
- Sourcing and screening of investments
- Attending annual meetings
- Present of diligence materials to investment members
- Various other tasks, projects and deadlines that arise in relation to above
Key Skills:
- Five plus years of related finance experience (i.e. Big 4 accounting firm, investment banking, commercial banking, equity research, venture capital, or in-house corporate finance group)
- Designing and working with financial models, comparable analysis and other modeling analyses
- Ability to prepare multiple valuation reports simultaneously with minimal supervision
- Managing several project concurrently
- Contributing directly to the development of proposals, presentations, and publications for current and prospective clients
- Communication and writing skills, i.e. presenting to the partnership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related major
- 5 years working with venture-backed companies in sectors such as:
- Communications systems, software, and components
- Enterprise software and services
- Internet, e-commerce, gaming, and security
- Semiconductor, systems, and storage
- Biotechnology and life sciences
- Alternative energy
