Our client, a well-established mezzanine and junior capital investor, is currently seeking to add a post-MBA Associate for their San Francisco office. Investments are typically made in sponsor-less transactions (direct with management) across a range of industries. They invest $3 million to $15 million of subordinated debt & equity in companies with revenues between $10 million and $150 million and minimum EBITDA of $2 million. The firm has an extensive and successful track record and has just completed the raise of its fourth fund totaling approximately $240 million. The ideal candidate will work closely with the firm’s partners and vice presidents to identify and evaluate new opportunities, conduct due diligence and monitor portfolio companies. Opportunity:
- The firm views the Associate position as a Partner-track role, and is focused on identifying candidates with a long term perspective.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, analyze and evaluate investment opportunities
- Review and work with portfolio companies, i.e.: market trends, exit strategies…etc.
- Assist in Business Development including but not limited to business partner relationships, co-investor relationships, and firm marketing
Qualifications:
- MBA from a top tier program with outstanding academic performance
- Pre-MBA experience in consulting, operations and/or private equity
- Undergraduate degree in engineering or computer science preferred
- Comfortable interacting with senior management, and ability to present opinion in a group environment
- Impeccable deal modeling and analysis skills
- Desire to be in the San Francisco Bay Area for the long term
