Our client is a leading management consulting firm that advises private equity investors on responsible investment and risk management. They largely focus on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues and most of their engagements are for conducting due diligence of prospective acquisitions in this growing ESG sector. They are well-known for their ESG specialization and are currently engaged with over three dozen clients representing greater than $350 billion in assets under management.
Opportunity:
The firm is seeking a Pre-MBA Associate II to join their team for an immediate start at their Southern CA location. This individual will have to ability to gain experience across a wide range of industries, transaction sizes, and all aspects of evaluating, executing, and managing consulting assignments.

Responsibilities:
The primary job responsibilities of the Associate II are to:
- Contribute due diligence reviews of clients’ prospective acquisitions as a member of a project team
- Perform primary research, document review, report writing, and oral communication with the client’s / target companies
- Think creatively and analytically solve problems
- Use broad functional knowledge of all business areas
Qualifications:
They are seeking the following:
- 1-2 years of consulting, legal, or business analyst experience is preferred: no direct previous experience in ESG is required
- Foundational knowledge of core business functions (e.g. operations, strategy, marketing, supply chain, sales, or general management)
- Excellent academic credentials
- Well-developed analytical experience
- High level of professionalism, maturity and superior attention to detail
- Ability to work as a member of a small team and multitask while handling a wide range of responsibilities
- Be self-starters, with a solid work ethic and enjoy working in an informal work environment
