Our client is seeking two Investment Analysts to join their lean and dynamic investment team for a 2-year program. One analyst will join the Privates team, the other will join the Publics team. Both analysts will report to the senior members and have exposure to other asset classes. 

Our client is a prestigious foundation which supports pediatric initiatives.  The investment team manages over $2 billion in assets which is broadly diversified across a range of asset classes.  Some asset classes include public and private equity funds, venture capital funds, hedge funds, real asset funds, and fixed income funds.

Responsibilities

  • Screen new investment opportunities and conduct comprehensive manager due diligence
  • Prepare materials for Finance Committee review and approval of investments
  • Participate in meetings with investment managers and prepare monthly and quarterly performance reporting and reconciliation
  • Monitor current managers and review observations with senior team members
  • Conduct market research and assist in identifying investment areas of potential high interest
  • Participate in performance benchmarking, reference checks, and the review of legal documents
  • Interact with existing and prospective investment managers, and external service providers

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of Investment Banking, Consulting, Equity Research, Advisory, or Investment experience
  • Experience at an Endowment, Foundation, Fund of Funds, OCIO, or Family Office preferred 
  • Strong academic performance; top school a plus
  • Passion for investing, self starter, ability to work independently, prioritize projects, desire to learn, and collaborate with a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Commitment to the foundation’s mission
  • Strong Financial modeling skills, general knowledge of portfolio theory, capital markets, and/or private equity
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent oral and written communication skills
