Joanne Flynn to be Panel Speaker at Women Investing in Women Summit

Women Investing in WomenThe Inaugural Women Investing in Women Summit is a day-long program, rich in content and connections to be held on December 12, 2012.  Executives from Intel, ASU Women & Philanthropy and the Pipeline Fellowship will describe successful investing initiatives that are empowering women both locally and globally. 

The Women Investing in Women Summit will provide you the opportunity to discuss opportunities of expanding access to capital by increasing the number of women angel investors in Arizona.  The event will be led by seasoned investors having both a national and local perspective.  Women entrepreneurs will get introduced to the state-of-the-art approach to discovering your business model, and engage in a debate about how they can be smarter and faster at building new women-led companies in Arizona. 

Joanne Flynn, Phoenix Group International’s Managing Director, will be a speaker on the panel for the 2020 Women on Boards panel, “Continuing the Conversation about Board Diversity.”  Joanne will be joined by Shelly Esque, Vice President and Director, Corporate Affairs Group, Intel Corporation, Dr. Robyn McKay and Kayla Burkholder, WISE / ASU Poly.  The panel discussion will also feature keynote speaker, Dr. Mary Walshok, founder of Global CONNECT, which is part of a national conversation on 12-12-12 about the business case for corporate board diversity and how we will change the current state of corporate boards in the United States.  

Joanne Flynn heads the business development and consulting group for Phoenix Group International. In addition, Joanne assists in our global recruiting efforts. Joanne previously held the position of Vice President and Director of Global Training and Development at Goldman Sachs for nine years. She focuses on the full range of strategic business development issues facing the financial services industry.

Joanne is experienced in all aspects of organizational development and training on an international level. Her consulting engagements include the design, development and delivery of training & development programs on the topics of business development, client account management, strategic selling, management development, and executive coaching. At Goldman Sachs, Joanne implemented programs to improve the organizational effectiveness of business units, most notably investment banking, equities, fixed income and operations. Her consulting clients range from global investment banks to small private equity/venture capital firms.
